Following a two year hiatus the Self Help Fest returned to Philadelphia Sunday for a day full of sun, fun, music and a message that music is more than just music. Roughly 8 hours of non-stop music, 13 bands playing between two stages at the Festival Pier of Philadalphia’s Penn’s Landing. The festival has taken place every year starting in 2014 when A Day To Remember frontman Jeremy Mckinnon came up with the idea after considering most fans attend the bands concerts not only to hear their music but as a way to help themselves and be themselves. This year the festival will take place in 4 different cities in the US including Philadelphia, Orlando, Detroit and San Bernadino, CA. The lineup included A Day To Remember, Underoath, Falling In Revrse, Moose Blood, Silverstein, Stray From The Path, Real Friends, Can’t Swim, Wage War, Angel Dust, Bad Omens and Microwave. The support has been overwhelming as the mini tour has grown every year and with the cost remaining low ($45) ticket for an all day General Admission affair it remains very affordable. Almost every set featured a highlight and every band played for ONE reason, the fans.
