Bob Weir and Wolf Bros do some poking around at The Fillmore

As I settled in front of the soundboard, I turned to a person next to me who was a bit short. I suggested they move further up for a better view. They said they like it right here, so they can dance with a huge grin.  It was that kind of night.  Behind a scaled down stage production, Bob Weir and Wolf Bros (bassist Don Was and drummer Jay Lane) provided a mellow laid-back evening for die hard Dead fans in the Philadelphia area.

It was a sold-out show with an impressive mixed setlist which included a tour debut of Grateful Dead’sPassenger”!!  The extended versions included songs from Bob Dylan, Willie Dixon, Rob Wasserman, The Temptations, and naturally everything Dead.  Since the show was sold out, it was mostly shoulder to shoulder, but as I moved into the back portions of the venue, I located the twirl area.  At least a dozen people were in their zone dancing to the live music. The vibe of the evening was totally friendly and more of a social event with many people greeting others they knew, and with the same feelings ones they had just met.  There are only a few more dates left in November, but Bob will be ringing in the New Year at the Crazy Rooster Ranch on the beautiful North Shore of Kauai, HI.  Click HERE for more details!!!

Anyone ready for a road trip?
