Disturbed heats up Peoria on The Evolution Tour

After a one day delay because of -50 degree windchills ,  Chicago’s own Disturbed brought the heat to Peoria on the Evolution Tour.   Peoria favorites, Three Days Grace opened and had the crowd bouncing and moshing for a great opening set.  The atmosphere was electric when the lights dimmed and the opening video played on massive backdrops.  Disturbed really went all out with the production on this tour with a large stage that went way into the crowd in front , below a ceiling of multi-colored lights and lasers.   In front of the soundboard was another small stage with a  piano, drums and stools and tables adorned with candles and drinks. Singer David Draiman commanded the stage from the moment he stepped on the stage.  Disturbed’s latest album , Evolution, dropped in August of 2018 and they have been touring hard in support of it.,  This show  presented five songs from the new album as well as many other songs the fans expected to hear, including covers of Genesis – Land of Confusion and a haunting rendition of Simon and Garfunkel’s Sound of Silence.  I had actually considered passing this show up after the insanely cold the night before that postponed it and the new snowfall the night of the show. I’m glad I decided to go .    Be sure and check out their website for upcoming tour stops.
