If you closed your eyes you would not believe you were at the famous Tower Theater, but instead somewhere far away as the soulful Delta Blues sounds coming from an Icelandic band named Kaleo filled the venue.  The last time Kaleo came through the Philadelphia area was back in May at the ‘MMR*B*Q festival. Unfortunately, that was an abbreviated set, but tonight we got to see and hear the full Monty.  The band is comprised of  drummer David Antonsson, bassist Daniel Kristjansson, guitarist Rubin Pollock, and the amazing vocals of guitarist JJ Julius Son.  The Kaleo Express stopped in Philly and served up an amazing night of entertainment.  The evening was filled with whistling, an acoustic mystical aura, shredding guitar solos, and soulful blend of country-rock-folk-blues with the crowd enthusiastically singing along with the band on each song. The mix of the Kaleo Express setlist took you on a musical journey visiting many different styles of music with each song.Tonights  s etlist included; Broken Bones, I Can’t Go On Without You, Save Yourself, Alter Ego, Pour Sugar On Me, Automobile, Hot Blood, No Good, Vor √≠ Vaglask√≥gi, Bang Bang (My Baby Shot Me Down) (Cher cover), Backdoor, Ladies Man, Way Down We Go. Encore: Rock ‘n’ Roller
