The loyalty of Jesse McCartney‘s fan base was quite evident by the line which went the length of the street outside The Fillmore as The Resolution Tour came to Philly. The venue was packed stage to rear doors when Jesse finally came out. Touring behind his sixth studio album, WASTED, Jesse dazzled the crowd with an electric performance. Many of the fans grew up with McCartney during their adolescent peak while he was on the Disney Channel’s Hannah Montana and The Suite Life of Zack and Cody. Everyone in the building is a now bit older (in their 20’s), and it was an night of old favorites and new music.
The minimalist stage setting allowed the crowd to focus on what they came to see, McCartney himself. Performing in front of a hypnotic visual backdrop, McCartney owned the stage and the crowd with his heartthrob grins, and boy band poses all night. McCartney had the crowd eating out of his hands from the first note. I can honestly say that I’ve never seen so many cell phones up capturing every moment of the show. The stage was wide open allowing McCartney to go from side to side making sure that everyone had the opportunity to see him up close. Everyone left the venue with a smile and sore throats from the massive sing along!!
