Michael Schenker Fest hits Chicago on St Patricks Day.

Michael Schenker brought an over two hour helping of guitar rock to a capacity crowd at The Concord Music Hall..  Those of you who have followed Schenker since his time with The Scorpions and UFO were in for a real treat.  I have been a Schenker/Scorpions,UFO fan for many many years but was never able to see Michael on tour until a couple years ago. This means not ever getting to see Bardon, Bonnett or McAuley singing.  This show was like seeing three tours in one.  It was EPIC!

The band consisted of Chris Glenn on bass , Ted McKenna on drums, Steve Mann on guitar and keys, and Doogie White on vocals.  Each MSG singer sang on some hits of their contribution albums and some new songs from the upcoming Michael Schenker Fest album due out in the spring on the Nuclear Blast label.  Through out the show there we were entertained with hits like “Let Sleeping Dogs Lie”, “Attack of the Mad Axeman”, Coast to Coast”, “Captain Nemo”. The last song of the set was the monster UFO hit “Rock Bottom”.   Schenker wrapped up the 30 song night with a four song encore consisting of UFO hits, “Doctor Doctor”, “Shoot Shoot”,”Natural Thing”, and finally “Lights Out”.    Check out the webpage   https://www.michaelschenkerfest.com/    for upcoming tour dates near you.
