Bleachers performing at the Radio 104.5 Endless Summer Show
What do you love about the Fall? Pumpkins, Apple cider doughnuts? I love it when Philadelphia’s #1 Alterative music station Radio 104.5, holds their traditional Endless Summer show. It’s the final of a series of outdoor concerts held throughout the city for music lovers. It starts in May with a two Birthday shows, and then some Summer Block Parties. This year’s Endless Summer show featured a wide range of musical taste from EDM, to Folk Americana.
The main stage line up featured The Unlikely Candidates, Two Feet, The Wonder Years, Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats, and Bleachers it was like a musical buffet. Xfinity Live was the location, provided top shelf facilities, and was the perfect layout for this type of event outdoors and surrounded by the city’s stadiums.
Some highlights of the show were Philly’s own The Wonder Year, who put on one of the highest energy sets from the first note, while Lead singer Dan ‘Soupy’ Campbell kicked and thrashed using the entire stage. Nathaniel Ratcliff & The Night Sweats brought some boogie to the stage as he danced across the stage. Nathaniel also celebrated his birthday with the radio station staff and the massive crowd toasting a shot to everyone. Finally, Jack Antonoff of Bleachers helped close the afternoon event getting the crowd to sing every song along with him. Antonoff performed with great emotion expressing each lyric with him kneeling on the stage, jumping for joy and thrashing the microphone cord across the sage. It was another great way to say good bye to Summer shows and prepare for the indoor shows.
