On a snowy night in Philadelphia, Billboard’s Top New Rock Artist of 2017 – The Revivalists brought some much-needed musical chicken soup to the sold-out crowd at The Metropolitan Opera House.  The tour and new release of the same name Take Good Care which is out now on Loma Vista Recordings is exactly what the city needed.

As the band entered the dark stage and lead singer David Shaw grab the mic under a single spot light and all eyes were fixed on David as they opened with “All My Friends”.  This immediately got the crowd jumping early, let the party start!!!  The Revivalists consist of David Shaw on lead vocals (and guitar sometimes), Ed Williams on lap steel guitar, Zack Feinberg lead/rhythm guitar, Rob Ingraham om sax, George Gekas on bass guitar, Michael Girardot on keyboards/trumpet, and a duel percussion section of Andrew Campanelli and PJ Howard on the drums.

The entire band was a huge ball of energy dancing along with the crowd, and the connections were immediate and lasted throughout the TWO Encores!! The set-list was mostly songs from the new album, but included plenty from Men Amongst Mountains, and Vital Signs, and a Rolling Stones cover.  David had the crowd waving hands back and forth during Wish I Knew, which was quite a sight in this historic venue.  David, used the entire stage which extended into the front section to allow David to deliver high fives to the lucky fans in the front rows.

Next up for the band is to headline the iHeartRadio ALTer Ego 2019 show in Los Angeles, which will be televised and also featuring twenty one pilots, The Killers, Muse, Weezer, Rise Against, and Bishop Briggs.  Check out the bands website HERE for their entire tour dates.
